For Beans iD users, they'll need to upload a single piece of evidence to confirm their status (for example ID badge or payslip) and Pion's team will be verifying these around the clock. A consumer only needs to verify with us once – after that, they’re in the system, making their purchase journey shorter – and increasing their likelihood to convert.

Our conversions varies by market and sector. However our brands typically deliver a 25% conversion rate from sessions to code redemptions and a 15% conversion rate from code redemption to transactions.

With our verification technology, we verify a consumer’s status from the established, direct integrations we have with academic institutions or by manually reviewing the uploaded verification document. Once verified, our award-winning verification tool facilitates the redemption of your offer by revealing a code for the consumer to complete their purchase via your website, app, or by revealing their Student Beans ID to complete their purchase in-store.

No, you are not required to be a part of an affiliate network to join Pion and use our plug-and-play solution to start running your own discount program. If you already use one of our 120+ approved affiliate networks then you can sign-up for one of our pricing plans with commission tracked via your affiliate network (CPA). Commission will be charged based on verified transactions - the percentage is dependant on the pricing plan you choose. If you are not part of an affiliate network or are offering a student in-store discount only then you can sign-up for one of our pricing plans with commission based on the number of verifications per calendar month (CPV). Unit cost of verifications depends on the pricing plan you choose.

During onboarding, our support team will send you detailed integration instructions – there are only 3 or 4 steps you'll need to follow. Onboarding should take no more than an hour. Our support team will also request and collect a list of assets to create your discount listing on our marketplaces where relevant.

With Pion, you can run gated targeted at students, graduates, health service workers*, first responders*, military personnel*, teachers*, parents* and those with a disability*. * these consumer groups are currently only available in UK, US, AU, CA & IE. In-store and app discounts are currently only for Student Beans users.

It's completely up to you! There’s a wide range of offers available for consumers with Student Beans and Beans iD, so whether you want to offer a discount of 5% or 95% - it's your choice. For the launch of your discount program, we recommend offering an exclusive discount and testing between a 10 – 20% discount. You can change your offer at any time by emailing your Customer Support contact.
